The No. 19 nationally ranked Bates women's cross country team became the first Division III squad to win six straight Maine State Meets in a commanding first-place finish Saturday. Bates, ranked No. 3 in the East Region, scored 18 points for the top spot. Bowdoin, No. 5 in the region, finished second with 67 points. The region's No. 7 team, Colby, took third in the meet with 76 points.
