Senior Andrew Hall was part of five program record-breaking performances over the weekend at the NESCAC Championships.
The Bates men's 800-yard freestyle relay team made history on the first night, recording an NCAA "B" Cut time and breaking the program record in the event along the way.
The "A" team of junior Nate Sommer (Terre Haute, Ind.), Hall (Little Silver, N.J.), sophomore Mark Gregory (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) and senior captain Pieter Cory (Dublin, Calif.) combined to race to the finish in 6:42.89
Hall finished runner-up in the conference in the 200 yard IM, breaking the school record in the prelims (1:49.20) and recording an NCAA "B" Cut time of 1:49.75 in the final.
The 400 yard medley relay team of junior Nathan Berry (Augusta, Maine), Sommer, Hall, and Cory, broke the school record and placed fourth in the conference as well with an NCAA "B" cut time of 3:19.06.
Saturday's finals began with the 200 yard medley relay team of Berry, Sommer, Hall, and junior John Marcolina (Mystic, Conn.) breaking the program record with an NCAA "B" cut time of 1:29.38, good for third in the conference.
Hall followed up his relay performance with a NESCAC runner-up showing in the 400 IM. He broke his own school record in the event with an NCAA "B" cut time of 3:58.
