Bates junior Nick Forester won back-to-back matches to reach Saturday's Round of 16 at the ITA Regional Championships, before bowing out to fourth-seeded Stan Morris of Middlebury.
Forester (Falmouth, Maine), a 2021 All-NESCAC selection and one of the players seeded between ninth and 16th in the 64-player tournament, began Friday with an opening-round 6-2, 6-2 victory over Wesleyan's Ben Mitchell. He moved on to defeat Paris Pentousis of Tufts in the Round of 32, 6-3, 6-3, setting up the match with Morris. Morris prevailed 6-4, 6-3 over Forester to advance to the quarterfinals.
Forester also teamed with sophomore Nikesh Desai (Hopkinton, Mass.) to win their first doubles match of the weekend.
