The Bates men's medley relay quartet of first-year Riley Ewing (Bedford, N.H.), senior Andrew Briggs (York, Maine), senior Matt Gagne (Winnetka, Ill.) and first-year Theodore Pender (Aspull, England), became Bates' first men's relay team to compete at NCAAs last Wednesday and snagged All-America honors in both the 200-yard medley relay as well as the 400-yard medley relay at the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships in Shenandoah,Texas.

The team finished 14th overall in the 200-yard medley relay, with a school record-setting time of 1:31.79. In the 400-yard medley relay, the team placed 20th overall with a time of 3:04.70, breaking the former team record of 3:06.06 set in 2012.
