Sophomore Elizabeth Erbafina (Sudbury, Mass.) netted back-to-back victories in singles competition over the weekend and is 4-0 in singles competition for the month of March for the No. 40 Bates women’s tennis team.
Erbafina picked up the win in number two singles over Haley Cohen in Saturday's match-up against Bradeis, battling back from a 2-6 first-set loss to win the second and third sets 6-4, 6-2.
Against Wesleyan, Erbafina won the lone point for the Bobcats, who dropped the 8-1 decision. Erbafina defeated Helen Klass-Warch in number two singles. Once again, the sophomore battled back after dropping the opening set 4-6. After dominating in the second set, Erbafina won the epic third set 7-6 (4) to remain undefeated in singles play for the month of March.
