Srishti Sunil (Bangalore, India) broke the Bates women’s track and field team’s outdoor record in the long jump and tied the school high jump record, as the Bates women’s track and field team finished in second place out of five teams Saturday at Colby.

Sunil high jumped 5 feet and 5 inches, tying the team mark set by senior Colby Gail in 2013 to finish second in the meet.

Sunil’s top long jump effort of 17-8.25 surpassed the mark set by Taylor Piers in 2012 and was good for third place at the meet.
