Pender was part of the 200-yard freestyle relay team that finished first on Friday in 1:27.28 to help Bates secure a one-point win over Bowdoin. He also won the 100-yard freestyle race. Then on Saturday he was part of a victorious 200-yard medley relay team. He proceeded to win the 50-yard freestyle in 21.85 seconds and the 200-IM in 2:02.34 to help Bates win the CBB title.
