First-year Tyler Harrington (Haverhill, Mass.) won the javelin throw with a top effort of 187-8, putting him in sixth place on Bates' all-time performance list and in 22nd place in the national Division III rankings. The Bates men's track and field team outscored the University of Maine to place second out of four teams Saturday at the UNH Wildcat Invitational, winning five events along the way.
