Telesca tossed seven plus innings of shutout ball against Colby in game two of Sunday's doubleheader to earn his second victory of the season. He held Colby to three hits and struck out four batters while only walking two on the afternoon.

Telesca led Bates in wins last year with four but Sunday was his first victory over a NESCAC opponent in his career.

Bates won their ninth consecutive series against Colby and swept the Mules in a three-game series for the first time since 2013.  

The Bobcats (7-5, 3-0 NESCAC) are off to their best start ever in NESCAC play since the league formally became a playing conference in 1999.
