Sophomore Garon Rothenberg won all three of his matches over the weekend for the No. 20 nationally ranked Bates men's squash team.

Playing at the No. 7 position, Rothenberg beat Tufts' Daniel Hutt 3-0 (11-7, 11-3, 11-4) on Friday to help Bates win 8-1.

Then on Saturday he defeated Franklin & Marshall's Ricardo Machado 3-0 (12-10, 11-6, 11-9) and won a hard-fought 3-2 (9-11, 11-9, 11-3, 10-12, 11-4) match against Brown's Thomas Walker. The Bobcats beat the Diplomats 7-2 but fell to Brown 8-1, with Rothenberg posting the only win against the Bears.

The Bobcats (9-3) now gear up for the NESCAC Championships, taking place February 2-4 on the campus of Hamilton College. Bates has finished second two years in a row at NESCAC's behind only defending national champion Trinity.
