Sophomore Matt Chlastawa (Westfield, Mass.) recorded a hat trick in the Bates men's lacrosse team's 18-9 win over Babson on Wednesday. He followed that up with an even more impressive performance in an 11-10 loss to Middlebury on Saturday. In the latter game, he scored four goals and dished out three assists. Chlastawa also recorded a pair of ground balls in both games. 

He is second in the NESCAC to teammate Clarke Jones in goals scored so far this year with nine. Chlastawa is tied for first in the conference with five assists and leads the way with 14 points.
