Marc Kannegieser was associated with the Bates Squash programs for more than 15 years. "Coach K" served as an assistant under former coach, John Illig, was the interim head coach during the 2007-2008 season and was an assistant under former head coach, Pat Cosquer.
Focusing primarily on squash game strategy, mental fitness and developing an athlete’s personal life skills to cope with post-graduate issues, Coach K prefers to quietly support athletes in realistic and truthful terms during student-coach interactions, both on and off the squash court.
As a life-long racquet sports player and Bates Squash coach, his expectations for all players include: success as a student-athlete, enjoyment on the court, and sportsmanship with fellow competitors.
