Biography
Currently, Montenegro ranks in the top 20 all-time at Bates in these events:
200-yard backstroke, 8th (1:54.95)
400-yard IM, 12th (4:17.13)
100-yard backstroke, 14th (53.06)
50-yard backstroke, 16th (24.93)
2019-20: Won the 200-yard backstroke (1:57.24) and placed second in the 100 backstroke (54.10) at the WPI Invitational.
2018-19: Placed second in the 200 back (2:00.33) at the WPI Invitational.... Grabbed his first collegiate race win, touching the wall first in the 200-yard backstroke (1:58.88) against Middlebury.
Major: Psychology, Computer Science.
Minor: French and Francophone studies.
High School: National Honor Society, National French Honor Society, Anti-Defamation League, Travis Manion Foundation, AP Scholar.
