Entering the 2025-26 season, Katz ranks in the top 10 all-time at Bates in these events:

50-yard breaststroke, 2nd (24.69)

100-yard breaststroke, 3rd (55.39)

200-yard medley relay, 10th (1:29.45), Top breaststroke split of 23.98, 2nd.

2025-26: NESCAC Winter All-Academic selection.... Won the consolation final of the 100-yard breaststroke in 55.39 seconds and helped Bates show off their depth in the 200-yard medley relay at the NESCAC Men's Championship, as the Bobcats recorded an NCAA 'B' cut time of 1:29.45, easily the fastest time among the 'B' teams in the field and faster than six 'A' teams (Feb. 21).... Broke the Bates record in the 50-yard breaststroke with his morning prelims time of 24.69 seconds at the NESCAC Men's Championship, only to see teammate Marrich Somridhivej '26 break it again in the very next heat, then Katz took fourth place in the championship final in 24.82 seconds (Feb. 20).

2024-25: NESCAC Winter All-Academic selection.... Took fifth in the preconsolation final of the 100-yard breaststroke in 57.13 seconds after recording a prelims time of 57.05 seconds at the NESCAC Championships (Feb. 22).... Grabbed sixth place in the championship final of the 50-yard breaststroke in 25.31 seconds at the NESCAC Championships (Feb. 21).

2023-24: Scored points for the Bobcats by winning the consolation final in the 50-yard breaststroke in 25.41 seconds at the NESCAC Championships (Feb. 23).

Personal: 2023 graduate of Kents Hill School (Maine) where he competed in swimming, baseball, and golf ... National Honor Society ... Honors with Distinction.
