Biography

2017-18: Named to the 2018 NESCAC Spring All-Sportsmanship Team.... Rowed with the first varsity eight at the Head of the Charles Regatta, helping the Bobcats finish third, their best finish ever at the event.... Did not row in the spring due to injury.

2016-17: Rowed for the second varsity eight at the National Invitational Rowing Championships as the M2V8 finished second to Hobart in the grand final.... Bates won the 2017 NESCAC Championship.

2015-16: Rowed in the second varsity eight as the Bobcats finished fifth out of 21 teams at the National Invitational Rowing Championships.

2014-15: Rowed in the men's second varsity eight as the Bobcats earned a bronze medal at the National Invitational Rowing Championships.
