2018-19: Rowed with the third varsity eight at the National Invitational Rowing Championships.... The Bobcats placed third in their heat and sixth in the grand final, finishing with a time of 6:25.556.

2017-18: Did not row.

2016-17: Rowed for the third varsity eight at the National Invitational Rowing Championships as the M3V8 finished second to Hobart in the grand final.... Bates won the 2017 NESCAC Championship.

2015-16: Rowed in the men's novice eight as the Bobcats finished fifth out of 21 teams at the National Invitational Rowing Championships.
