2016-17: Team captain.

Indoor Highlights: Placed second in the heptathlon with 4,119 points at the Bates Invitational.... Took second place in the pole vault (13-5.25) to help Bates win the Maine State Men's Indoor Championship.... Placed seventh in the heptathlon with 4,094 points at the New England Division III Men's Indoor Championships.... Placed eighth in the heptathlon, scoring 4,069 points at Open New Englands.

Outdoor Highlights: Placed third in the pole vault (12-11.5) against Maine and UNH.... First out of four competitors in the decathlon with 5,470 points against MIT, Tufts and RPI.... Placed third in the pole vault (13-5.25) and fifth in the 400-meter hurdles (59.49) at the UNH Wildcat Invitational.... Placed third in the pole vault (13-5.25) at the Maine State Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championships.... Tied for eighth place in the pole vault (12-11.5) at the NESCAC Championships.... Placed fourth in the decathlon with 5,471 points at the  New England Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships, one more than the career-high he established at the Bates Invitational earlier in the year.... Downey had the second-best pole vault in the field of 11, at 13-3.5, and third in the 1,500-meter run (5:03.26).... Placed 11th in the decathlon with 5,383 points at Open New Englands.

2015-16:

Indoor Highlights: New England DIII Championships: Seventh place in heptathlon.

Outdoor Highlights: New England DIII Championships: Eighth place in decathlon…. Maine State Meet: Fourth place in high jump, fifth place in javelin throw.
