A Mainer and 2016 graduate of Lewiston High School, Brendon Croteau joined the Bates golf coaching staff in 2021. He graduated from the University of Southern Maine in 2020 with a Bachelors in Sports Management.
"I'm excited to help the golf program in the coming years," Croteau said. "I always wanted to coach at the collegiate level, and help grow the game. Working with students is one of my passions."
Croteau played golf for four years at USM and won the GNAC conference championship his senior year. The school received a bid to the NCAA Championships for the first time in program history but the Huskies were unable to attend the championship due to the pandemic. He also played on the USM tennis and club hockey teams for two years.
Currently enrolled in Graduate school through USM, studying Leadership, Croteau works for the Club and Intramural Sports program at USM as a Graduate Assistant.
He is going on his fourth year working for the Bates golf team's home course, Martindale Country Club, as a shop attendant.
In Croteau's senior year in college, he interned for Bates under Director of Athletics Jason Fein. He helped with game management, facility operations, and game promotion.
