Sophomore outfielder Andrea Russo (Cheshire, Conn.) batted .500 (15-30) in a 4-5 week for the Bobcats. She was 5-for-5 on stolen base attempts, scored nine runs and slugged at a .633 percentage.

She started the week by going 1-4 with a run scored and a stolen base in Bates' 2-0 win over Thomas College. Russo went 1-3 with a run scored and a run batted in and a walk in Bates' 3-1 win over the University of New England on Tuesday.

She finished 3-3 with two runs scored a double and a RBI in Bates' 8-5 win over Maine-Farmington on Wednesday.

Russo finished 1-3 with a run scored and two stolen bases against Colby, helping Bates to their first NESCAC win of the season, a 5-2 victory on Saturday over the Mules.
